This Privacy Policy explains how JASONDIBANSON ("JASONDIBANSON," "we," "us," or "our") handles personal information when you use our games, related services, and this website. We aim to collect only what is needed to operate, improve, secure, and support our games.
1. Scope
This policy applies to Ink Barrier Quest, Jungle Merge, Short Story, future titles that link to this policy, and inkgamesforge.top (collectively, the "Services"). Data handling can vary by game, version, platform, region, and enabled feature. A game-specific notice shown in a Service controls if it conflicts with this general policy.
2. Information We Collect
Information you provide
- Support and communications: your email address, message, attachments, game name, and information you choose to provide when contacting us.
- Privacy requests: information reasonably needed to locate data, verify a request, and record our response.
- Account information: if a future version offers a developer-operated account, the identifiers and profile details disclosed at sign-up. Our current policy does not assume that every game has an account system.
Information collected automatically
- App activity and gameplay: sessions, progress, levels, achievements, in-game actions, settings, and interactions with features or advertisements.
- Device and app information: device model, operating system and version, language, screen characteristics, app version, time zone, mobile carrier or network type, app instance identifiers, and resettable advertising identifiers where permitted.
- Diagnostics and performance: crash logs, error reports, load times, technical events, and other data used to maintain reliability and prevent abuse.
- Network and approximate location: IP address and a general location such as country, state, or city inferred from the IP address.
- Purchase status: product, transaction status, and receipt or entitlement information supplied by the app store. We do not receive your full payment card number from Google Play.
We do not seek to collect government identification numbers, payment card details, contacts, messages, call logs, health data, biometric data, or the device's IMEI, IMSI, or SIM serial number.
3. Sources of Information
We receive information directly from you, automatically from your device or use of a Service, from Google Play or another distribution platform, and from service providers such as advertising, analytics, crash-reporting, fraud-prevention, hosting, and customer-support providers.
4. How We Use Information
We use information to:
- provide game functionality, save progress where supported, and deliver requested content;
- operate, troubleshoot, analyze, and improve performance, design, balance, and accessibility;
- measure advertising, limit repeated ads, and personalize ads where allowed and consented to;
- process and restore purchases through the applicable app store;
- respond to support, privacy, security, and legal requests;
- detect fraud, cheating, abuse, security incidents, and violations of applicable terms; and
- comply with law and establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
Where required, we rely on consent. We may also process information as needed to perform a contract with you, comply with legal obligations, or pursue legitimate interests such as operating and securing the Services, provided those interests are not overridden by your rights.
6. Advertising & Location
Some free versions may show advertisements. Advertising partners may use a resettable advertising identifier, IP address, app interactions, and an approximate region to select, deliver, measure, and secure ads. Depending on your region, personalized advertising is used only after any consent required by law.
Advertising partners may combine data received through our games with activity from other apps or services. This can constitute "sharing" under California law even when no money changes hands. See the California Notice for opt-out information.
7. Your Choices
- Advertising: use your Android device's privacy or advertising controls to reset or delete the advertising ID and manage ad personalization. Where a consent prompt is shown, you can change the available choice through that prompt or the game's settings.
- Permissions: review or revoke app permissions in Android settings. Core features may not work if a necessary permission is disabled.
- Notifications: disable notifications through the game's settings, if available, or Android settings.
- Local game data: clearing app storage or uninstalling may remove locally stored progress. This does not automatically erase information already processed by us or an SDK.
- Contact us: use the process in Data Deletion to request deletion of data that can reasonably be linked to you or your game instance.
8. Retention & Deletion
We keep personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. Retention depends on the data type and context. For example, support records may be kept for up to 24 months after resolution; diagnostics are generally kept for a shorter period set by the relevant provider; and purchase, security, fraud-prevention, or legal records may be retained as required to protect users, comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements.
When information is no longer needed, we delete or de-identify it. De-identified or aggregated information that can no longer reasonably identify you may be retained. To request deletion, visit our Data Deletion page or email us. We will also ask relevant processors to delete data when required and reasonably possible.
If a game allows creation of a developer-operated account, it will provide a reasonably discoverable in-app path to request deletion of that account and associated data, in addition to the web request method above.
9. Security & International Transfers
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information involved, such as limiting access, using encrypted network transport where supported, and selecting established service providers. No storage or transmission method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
We and our providers may process information in the United States and other countries where privacy laws may differ from those in your country. Where required, we use recognized transfer safeguards, such as contractual protections, or rely on another lawful transfer mechanism.
10. Children
The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from a child under 13 without legally valid parental consent. We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of consumers under 16. If you believe a child provided personal information to us, contact us so we can investigate and delete it as appropriate.
If a title is offered to children or participates in Google Play's Families program, we will apply the additional age-appropriate content, advertising, SDK, and parental-consent requirements that govern that title.
11. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, obtain a copy of, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information; withdraw consent; opt out of targeted advertising or certain disclosures; and lodge a complaint with a data protection authority.
To exercise a right, email [email protected] with the subject "Privacy Rights Request." Include the game name, your country or state, the right you want to exercise, and an app instance or player identifier if available. Do not send government ID or other sensitive documents unless we specifically request a proportionate verification method. We may need to verify that you are connected to the requested data.
12. Additional Notice for California Consumers
This section supplements the rest of this policy for California residents. Under the California Consumer Privacy Act, as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act (collectively, the "CCPA"), California residents have specific rights, including the right to know, delete, correct, and opt out of the "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. They also have the right to limit certain uses of sensitive personal information and the right not to receive discriminatory treatment for exercising privacy rights. These rights apply if and to the extent the CCPA covers our processing.
Categories collected in the preceding 12 months
| CCPA category | Examples we may collect | Business or commercial purposes | Recipients |
|---|---|---|---|
| Identifiers | IP address, app instance ID, resettable advertising ID, email address when you contact us | Service delivery, security, support, analytics, advertising | Service providers, analytics and advertising partners, platforms |
| Commercial information | In-app product, purchase status, receipt or entitlement | Complete, verify, and restore purchases; fraud prevention | App stores, payment and support providers |
| Internet or electronic network activity | Gameplay events, ad interactions, session and feature activity | Operate and improve games, analytics, security, advertising | Service providers, analytics and advertising partners |
| Geolocation data | Approximate country, state, or city inferred from IP address | Regional content, fraud prevention, analytics, advertising | Service providers, analytics and advertising partners |
| Inferences | Likely game or content preferences derived from interactions | Game design, analytics, content and ad personalization where permitted | Analytics and advertising partners |
We do not intentionally collect the other categories listed in California Civil Code § 1798.140, such as protected classifications, biometric information, professional or employment information, education records, or sensitive personal information. We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that trigger a right to limit under the CCPA.
Sale or sharing
We do not sell personal information for money. When personalized advertising is enabled, disclosure of identifiers, internet or electronic network activity, approximate geolocation, or inferences to advertising partners may be considered "sharing" for cross-context behavioral advertising under the CCPA. We may have engaged in this sharing during the preceding 12 months for the advertising purposes described above. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16.
Your California rights
- Know and access: request categories and specific pieces of personal information, sources, purposes, and recipient categories.
- Delete: request deletion, subject to legal exceptions.
- Correct: request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Opt out: opt out of sale or sharing for cross-context behavioral advertising.
- Limit: limit use or disclosure of sensitive personal information where the right applies.
- Non-discrimination: receive equal service and pricing when you exercise a right, subject to lawful exceptions.
How to submit a California request
Email [email protected] with the subject "California Privacy Request" and state whether your request is to know, access, delete, correct, or opt out of sale or sharing. You may also use our dedicated Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information page. For an ad-personalization opt-out, use the privacy controls made available in the game or your Android device settings so the choice is applied to that device. Our website does not use advertising cookies.
We will confirm and respond within the time required by law. We may verify requests to know, delete, or correct using information reasonably related to your interaction with a Service. We will not require verification for a request to opt out, though we may need information to identify the applicable device or record. You may use an authorized agent; we may request proof of authorization and may ask you to confirm your identity directly. You may make a request to know up to twice in a 12-month period without charge.
Where technically applicable to browser-based activity, we treat a recognized Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of sale or sharing for that browser. Learn more about California rights at the California Attorney General's CCPA page.
13. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in our Services, SDKs, or legal obligations. We will post the updated version here, revise the effective date, and provide additional notice when required. Material changes apply prospectively unless law permits otherwise.
